SYNOPSIS:

We used to be close.
We used to be best friends.
Until we became enemies all over again...

Courtney Ryan ruined our on and off again friendship with one swipe of her sexy, red pen. After the final rude message she wrote in my yearbook, I decided that we didn't need to see each other anymore. (But if we ever did, I would show her exactly why I had every reason to be "cocky," and make her admit that I really *was* "that damn sexy.")

Now that it's ten years later, I've graduated from law school at the top of my class, and I'm being recruited to work at the number one law firm in New York City.

Since I'm in desperate need of a change and want to meet new people, I don't hesitate to accept the offer.

Until I find out that Courtney Ryan graduated from law school, too.
Until I realize that she'll be working at the same exact firm, in the office right across from me.

And if this timing isn't unfortunate enough, she's far more tempting and sexier than I originally remembered.
(Oh, and last night I found out that she lives right next door...)

We don't have to be close.
We don't have to be best friends.
But she's going to pay me back for making us enemies all over again...

 SYNOPSIS:
"You are a cocky, arrogant asshole and I sincerely wish you misery for the rest of your life...PS--You weren't *that* damn sexy... "

Those were the last lines I wrote in Jace Kennedy's yearbook before graduating high school.

Enemies from the moment we met, we went out of our way to avoid each other whenever we could. And in the moments that we couldn't? Our heated arguments were strong enough to light the world on fire.

He was an all-star prick. Plain and simple.
I was a "band geek with fugly-ass braces." (Not true at all.)

Needless to say, I couldn't wait to leave him and our small hometown of Blue Harbor behind.

Now that it's ten years later, I've graduated from Harvard Law at the top of my class, and I'm working at the firm of my dreams. I'm happier than I've ever been, surrounded by new loyal friends, and ready to compete for the lead lawyer position.

Until I find out that Jace Kennedy graduated from law school, too.
Until I realize that he'll be working at the same exact firm, in the office right across from me.

And if that isn't unfortunate enough, he's far sexier and way more arrogant than I originally remembered. (Oh, and last night he moved in next door...)

Mr. Popular + Thank You

I'm currently sitting in Starbucks, thinking back on everything this year has brought me. This year, I published my second novel, Mr. Popular, launched an inspirational blog for indie romance authors with my best friend, and co-hosted my very first writing retreat. Sometimes I have to literally stop and pinch myself because I can't fathom how any of this actually worked out :-) (My mind is still blown)

With all these things in mind, I just wanted to stay THANK YOU to every single one of you who has supported me in any way. The Indie World can be truly hard and stressful at times, (most of the time really :-)), but when you have amazing people who send you encouraging words because you need a little more time on a release, people who take the time to give you a thumbs up when you share your struggles about finding time to fit everything in, and people who take a chance on your words and leave reviews, you can't help but feel incredibly grateful!

This year has definitely been the best year yet, and as I prepare to release my third book, I can't help but feel excited about what 2018 holds.

Love,
Nicole
