Have you ever seen that movie 'The Devil Wears Prada?' The one where Anne Hathaway's character is literally at the beck and call of her boss Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep)?

Well that's **exactly** how my current job is, except I don't work in the fashion industry, I work directly under an official in the government's office. I'm the personal assistant, and that means my time (even when I'm at home) is never really my own. And when I've told you in the past that I literally have to *steal* time to write and promote my books, I literally have to *steal* time to do that. (Like, right now with this post actually)

Anyway, I received my final formatted copy of Mr. Popular yesterday evening. I'd planned to call in "sick" tomorrow through Thursday so I could 1). Go through it one more time in peace, by myself and 2). Spend the week with you guys promoting this story that I love so much. (Like, this story was true labor of love and I can't wait for you to read it)

But instead, I'm currently crying and packing for a business trip that I can't get out of. When I got to work today and saw the travel portfolio and November itinerary on my desk, I almost quit on the spot. I wanted to yell, "I have a book releasing next week, a husband, a family, and new blog to run! Are you serious? I can't go out of town this weekend and I'm *not* going! Eff you!") But of course if I wanted a job to come back to, I knew that wasn't an option.

Long story short: I don't want to have to hit publish (again) and then not be around to enjoy the moment or promote it because I'm listening to speeches or sitting in on meetings I *have* to be there for. I actually want to enjoy the release of my second book, and I want to experience that feeling of having a stress-free week before release because I swear when I get back, I'm requesting those days off and reading it *for myself* one final time like I want to.

That's why I've decided to bump the date out slightly. In the grand scheme of things, I know it's not a big deal but as an indie, sometimes every little thing seems like a big deal, but I have no choice here.

In the meantime while you wait, this gives me the opportunity to share the first few chapters/sneak peeks of Mr. Popular which I'll do via my blog and I'll also be giving away way more ARCs because you guys are what inspire me to dream of one day becoming a full time author. That, and I've been receiving some really amazing feedback about this release in the form of really sweet emails from my beta readers :-)

Thank you for understanding,
Nicole London

Happy Cover Reveal Day, Awesome Readers! I'm so excited to share the cover for MR. POPULAR with you. Thank you, to Najla Qamber Designs for designing this beautiful cover and to Alex Prange for being the perfect model! Also, thank you, to the lovely ladies of Give Me Books for hosting!

Mr. Popular is a "falling for my brother's best friend" romance that will be hitting your kindles on October 26th! I can't wait for you to read Liam and Mariah's story. Make sure you add Mr. Popular to your TBR ➜

He was Mr. Popular.

I was his best friend's younger sister...

I hated him. He hated me.

We were never more than two people who were forced to tolerate each other.

Every summer, we saw each other at the same summer camp, and avoided each other like the plague.

Until one summer changed everything...

We agreed to move on.
But neither of us wanted to.

Now I'm finally in high school (it's his senior year), and I'm trying my hardest to forget what happened, and trying hard like hell to remember why we can never be together.

He's still Mr. Popular.

And I'm still his best friend's younger sister...

Dreams + Mr. Popular

I'm currently sitting in Starbucks,  typing away at my laptop, getting super excited about my next novel. My first one exceeded all of my wildest expectations with the response it garnered from readers, and although it wasn't perfect (no book ever is), I was just so happy to say, "OMG! I published a book!"

And, now, I'm looking forward to saying, "OMG! I published another book!" I'm also looking forward to chasing another dream of mine, which is running a blog with my best friend, Author Whitney G. The blog is called, The Indie Tea.

In a nutshell, it's a blog that caters to aspiring and current romance authors at all stages of their journeys, and through podcasts, articles, and essays, we seek to inspire, motivate, and infuse more positivity into the world.

We started the idea for this blog over a year ago after going to a Pay It Forward Retreat, and it has stuck with us ever since. Every week we've sent each other "What about this for The Indie Tea?" "Do You Think This Will Work?" "OMG are we really about to start a blog?" emails with threads so long that sometimes we have to go, "Okay...I don't think one thread was meant to go on for eight weeks." (Then again, when we have twenty long threads running at once, it's hard to say :-) )

Anyway, I'm super excited to launch this with my best friend as I continue my own journey in indie publishing, and as she continues hers. If you're an aspiring author, I hope you'll join us there! And if you're a reader, I hope you're ready for Mr. Popular!
